Healthy Traditions Network is having their 10th annual Growing Connections Conference and Organic Harvest Festival and we were invited to host a booth. Don't trash it - reuse it! Be creative as you look for new ways to reduce the amount or kinds of household waste. Give cardboard tubes to pet hamsters or gerbils. Plant seeds in an egg carton. Make a flower pot out of a plastic ice cream tub. By thinking creatively, you will often find new uses for common items and new ways to recycle and reduce waste.

Hi, it's Sommer here.... Do you come home to show & tell after a long day at the office? Maybe your kids showing off their days activities, or your spouse telling you about her trip to the mall......well, I come home to an art show. Both Joey and I make sure we spend the first 10-20mins when we get home doing Show & Tell. I do my best to make sure I don't "vent" and he AMAZES me every day with new MeTaL J.A.R.. creations, or shares a story of a new interesting person he's met. It's in these moments that I can feel how fortunate I am. Life is to short to live in the negative, live life every beautiful second at a time!!! Now time to go help make dinner..... slr
